About Us

Abraham Lincoln once said,
“A lawyer’s time and advice are his stock in trade.”

Three generations of lawyers have carried this maxim forward beginning with Warner Hodges, a 1947 law graduate of Vanderbilt University who was formerly the United States Attorney for the Western District of Tennessee under the Eisenhower administration.

Flash forward to 1978 when his son Lincoln A.R. Hodges, a graduate of Ole Miss, was admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi.

In 1981, the Hodges family moved its office from Downtown Memphis farther east. Now located in the heart of the “Old Germantown,” our clients are able to enjoy the comfortable and relaxed, yet professional atmosphere our office offers.

Built circa 1860, this antique house is located just around the corner from pretty much anywhere within the city and only 1/2 mile south of Poplar on Germantown Road, next door to the Germantown Commissary. Flash forward again to 2009 when L. Rees Hodges, son of Lincoln A.R. Hodges and graduate of Mississippi College School of Law, was admitted to practice law in Tennessee and Mississippi.

Attention to the diverse interests of our clients in both West Tennessee and North Mississippi has been our primary focus for the past 63 years. Over time, we have formed many attorney-client relationships. Continued referrals from satisfied clients have been the primary source of our growth and are the most sincere compliment we can receive.
